One of the best daily drivers ever made

by Uriy on 11/8/2025 1:15:36 AM

Everything about this car screams practicality. It's extremely serviceable, very high in gas mileage, roomy, insanely reliable, and lacks any modern features that screw up the driving experience. Parts aren't covered in pounds of plastic that prevent you from working on it. It's efficient and lightweight, allowing me to get 37MPG average. It's port-injected, naturally aspirated, adequately powered, and driven through a tried and true real automatic transmission. And, it doesn't have a million sensors and beeps scaring you every couple minutes like modern cars do. I will never sell mine, I installed heated seats which was simple and it feels like a luxury car. Competitors like Honda Fit are too slow, Kias are too unreliable, Audis are too expensive to maintain; this one does it ALL right. 12 years in the rust belt and it doesn't have an ounce of rust. It's not even garaged. This is the perfect daily.

This car will never let you down

by Nate on 6/25/2023 11:30:30 AM

I’m writing this review mostly just to thank Scion for making a reliable vehicle that I can use when other cars fail on me. I got this car for free when my father retired and left the country, I learned how to drive in it. It’s a Toyota, essentially, and made well enough where even when all the lights are on the dash like mine (computer error), and it sounds like it wants to shoot itself, it’ll get you where you need to go. And then do so again, repeatedly until you die of old age. My 2012 Chevy Cruze has stalled out three times in five months, and every single time I’ve needed this Scion to get me to work, even if it hasn’t been started in a while, it turns over and off I go. If you can find a used one, they make for a great first car, or a good daily driver if your newer car is acting up. Grab one if you can, you won’t regret it.

        2010 Scion XD

by Jack on 4/6/2023 1:27:21 AM

Scions are the same as Toyota vehicles, very reliable. My 2010 Scion XD is a spacious and attractive vehicle. Maintenance is minimal, and they have a powerful engine to cross the country. My vehicle has 130,000 miles and looks and runs well.
